New York City’s elected officials work hard to secure state and federal funding for the city. Unfortunately however, legislators from outside the city who raise large sums of money from New Yorkers are rarely held accountable for their positions on issues affecting New York City – this needs to change.

Fair Share New York seeks to educate and galvanize the political donor and business community to advocate for policies that will help New York City and demand more from state and federal policy makers.

Our mission is to provide donors current information they can use to effectively advocate on the city’s behalf and advance the dialogue on fair share related issues among opinion makers, the media and public officials.

This web site provides updated talking points that you can use to urge legislators and candidates to support New York City’s priorities. Bookmark this page on your internet browser and you will be able to access updated talking points in mere seconds the next time a candidate calls you for a contribution. You can also contact your representatives in Congress and the State Legislature and work with their office to advocate for bills that benefit the city.

Fair Share New York works to draw the media and opinion makers’ attention to areas where New Yorkers are routinely shortchanged, such as: education, homeland security, transportation and housing.

As New Yorkers and donors, we have the opportunity to help reset the imbalance facing New York City and ensure that the city we love gets its fair share.
